Grimes Graves Wins Civic Trust Award
We're thrilled that the Grimes Graves Pavilion has been recognised with a Civic Trust Award. The judges praised the project’s sensitive response to its prehistoric and ecological context, highlighting its balance of sustainability, accessibility, and design flair.
Described as “a striking yet harmonious addition to the landscape,” the pavilion was commended for its spiral ramp, asymmetrical roof, and engraved timber timeline - cited as “a particularly evocative detail, connecting visitors physically and symbolically to the site’s prehistoric history.”
